Flow Control of Abr Traac in Atm Networks Using a Two-level Scheme

چکیده
In this paper, a new two-level ow control scheme using VP credit-based control and stop-and-go rate control for ABR traac in Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) networks is presented. This scheme can eeciently use the leftover band-width after the guaranteed traac has been satissed. Further , cell loss can completely be avoided. It is found that the average end-to-end delay of the proposed scheme is shorter than that of the VCFC scheme 1]. In addition, there is also a tremendous saving in the memory required when compared to the VCFC scheme.
